Virtual Reality headset to help islanders understand autism – ITV News

Shoppers in St Helier are being given the chance to see the world through the eyes of someone with autism, using a virtual reality headset.

Volunteers from Autism Jersey will be on the high street today with the headset which will replicate what the world is like for someone living with autism.

Whilst wearing the headset, the ticking of the clock on the wall is louder or patterns on wallpaper start moving to give people an understanding of how a sensory overload feels.
