Mum and son grateful for charity run support – Cambrian News

A LLANGEITHO mother has raised over £1,500 for muscular dystrophy after completing the Cardiff Half-marathon to help raise money and awareness for the condition her son has.

Jackie Sinnett-Jones completed the event in October after deciding she wanted to do something to raise money for Muscular Dystrophy UK, with her son Iestyn suffering from a rare form of the condition that affects around one in 1.3m people.

Proud Iestyn has paid tribute to Jackie for her efforts and said the money raised would be a massive boost to help people with muscular dystrophy.

Jackie, who works for Ceredigion County Council, said she was pleased to have completed the event and was thrilled with the support she had received.

She said: “I completed the course in two hours and 41 minutes and even managed a sprint finish to the finish line.
