An artist from Hertford who has Down Syndrome is one step closer to her dream of being a full-time artist as she exhibits her work as part of the Manchester Art Fair.
Fiona Stevenson has been painting for the past five years, with some of her work featuring in the exhibition Heart and Sold.
It is an innovative initiative which promotes artists with Down Syndrome and resulted with her art being recognised internationally.
It was also the first time she had appeared as a solo artist outside of Hertfordshire.
Since she had her stand at the Manchester Art Fair approved, she has been working on new monoprints with a collaborative art studio, The Print Studio Campaign Ltd.
Fiona will also be selling a selection of limited edition Giclee and silkscreen prints.
She said: “I have really enjoyed working on my new pieces and am looking forward to taking these and so much of my other work up to the Manchester Art Fair.
“I was very excited to hear my application for a stand had been accepted and cannot wait to see my work alongside that of all the other artists.”
