We’re outdoor adventurers who love a challenge. Access Adventures was founded to provide fun adaptive programmes, hoping to improve the quality of life for people with disabilities by giving them access to sport and outdoor adventures
Research has shown that taking part in sport and having regular exercise can help improve the quality of life for people with disabilities. Our camps are designed to build self-confidence, encourage participation and inspire hope for the future
After organising several adaptive waterski camps, we realised that there’s a real demand for these types of outdoor activities in the UK. Access Adventures ran it’s first camp in May 2015 and was registered with the Charity Commission in Aug 2015.
In 2017 Access Adventures hosted 10 camps, offering the opportunity to try waterskiing, wakeboarding, alpine skiing, downhill biking, road biking, kayaking, canoeing, kiting, archery and shooting. Our first camp specifically for under 18s was also introduced
2018 will see the camps on offer expand further
* Improve the quality of life for people with physical disabilities through outdoor activity programmes
* Make outdoor adventure accessible and affordable for everyone with a physical disability
* Challenge expectations and realise full potential
* Increase confidence and self-belief
* Raise awareness of opportunities for disabled people
Home after a fantastic weekend with Access Adventures. Kayaking on the river Wye and down hill Gravity biking in the Forest of Dean. Loved every minute of it. Big thanks to the Access Adventures team, I always love their Events and camps, their contagious energy and enthusiasm is just great to be around. Thanks to all the other assistants as well. Any help is readily available at any time. Very understanding to all the individual needs. Excellent for all ages and disabilities. I loved it. Great people,food and activities. Highly recommend. 5 stars. Thank you so much.

Ryan and I had an amazing time with Access Adventure. The volunteers have a way of matching participants needs, without doing too much, and encouraging nervous people in activities in a non-pressuring way. We saw some lovely views while kayaking down the Wye river and experienced a bit of white water. The down hill 'gravity bikes' were a highlight of the trip- going down trails, weaving round trees and flying over jumps. The whole experience of challenging myself at the campsite pushing my wheelchair offroad and lighting my own fires has improved my everyday skills of getting around and grown my confidence. And of course meeting a big group of wonderful people who make the activities all the more fun!! Evenings of social dinning and chatting were top rate!! Can't wait to book the next adventure!!!! Thanks guys :D
I can't explain how fantastic these weekend waterski camps are,nothing is to much trouble for any of the volunteers to help you and make you progress. I'd love to go on another waterski camp asap,if anyone is reading this and not been in touch with Access Adventures please do,they are absolutely amazing. Thank you so much for helping me to improve with my watersking this weekend.

Just got home from a family waterskiing with Access Adventure!! What an amazing team. Thank you all for making this possible, I haven’t laughed so much in ages. It had been so great to do something with my 2 children. Both Harry and Stella have had an amazing weekend. Can’t wait till next time
Spent my first week in the French Alps with Access Adventures and was the biggest laugh with a great group of people. Jane and Clare did a fantastic Job in organising the trip and I can’t thank them enough for making me feel so welcome. I’ll definitely be back!
